Can anyone tell me where the reverse light switch is on a nv4500 tranny thanks.

 

ya my reverse light dont come on either.

 

the reverse light switch is on the drivers side of the transmission, its a maginet switch so when you shift in reverse a metal part gets close enough to the switch to close the contacts and turn on the lights. I replaced my switch but still didn't work. If I just plug in the switch with it out and put the end next to something metal the lights come on. so everything is working but the part inside the transmission that gets colse to the switch to turn it on is not getting close enough. I have not been in the transmission to know turns it on. some one else might be able to help.
befor you buy a switch I would take out the swicth and test it and see if the lights come on. Just plug it in and put it next to the trans.
