if it is anything like my auto which it should be, the gear is held in with a forked piece of metal that pushes it in the hole when it is bolted up with one bolt. if you look there are 6 or 8 (i believe) places that the fork to be able to hold the speedometer gear in position. what that does is it allows for the gear to be moved farther and closer away from the gear in the tranny if you change rearend gears and change the speedo gear to recalibrate it (each speedo gear is different in diameter so there have to be some adjustability). the gear is offset from the center on that plug in so twisting it one way makes it get closer and twisting it the other way makes it get farther away from internal gear. BEWARE if you make the gears mesh too hard they will eat each other up and will leave a bunch of plastic bits in the tranny to be cleaned out. i hopes this helps. if need be tomorrow i can crawl under my truck and take pics to show what i'm talking about.

naw looked tonight and couldn't find the other one..... it looks like a tornado hit the shop only on the inside. there's 5 4-wheelers, 1 3 wheeler, 1 motorcycle that's getting dropped and raked, one minibike-deathtrap, 3 motors 2 trannys, sandblaster, oven, bandsaw, and that's all in 1 bay (it's the only bay but that is the main work area.) gotta get it cleaned up SOON. i'll let u know if i find it though
