Depends on what you are looking for in HP numbers. S300 series is a great upgrade

I'm only lookin for a small upgrade that won't take too much modifications. And kinda inexpensive.

go with an hx40, i had one for 200k miles and i loved it but i blew up yesterday, old age with no wastegate, i upgraded to a custom hx40w should be here on the 24th. they light fast and its a good cheap step up from a 35. you can pick them up for 300ish just make sure its a holset and not chinese crap.

just make sure you dont build up 30+ psi and dump the throttle, it really bangs the shaft around and i think that might be why mine is in pieces....

its from a speed shop in Indiana I got it off eBay but it said "1 item available" and the ad is no longer up. Its basically a holset core with a bunch of upgrades, 8 fin compressor wheel, I think stock 40s have 6 or 7 fins. Adjustable wastegate set for 30 and ceramic bearings. Its advertised as a quick spooling drag turbo and the add mentions using it for twins, its not here yet so I dont know more what the add and pics said about it, but I think it'll be a good little charger.. So as far as manufacturer I couldn't tell you, it looks like some sort of custom piece. I'll let you know more when it shows up.

Oh and I THINK its an external wastegate not sure on that though..

T3and 4 are the different size flanges on the turbo mounting to the manifold, 95 12v should be a t3. Rebuild kits for hx35s which is your stock turbo are cheap, like 75 - 100 but a new hx40 which is a good step up is about 300. You're smart to replace the turbo BEFORE it lets go... I'm still in the middle of my install. I was lucky to have no metal chips in my oil. Good luck
