Default fuel system problems

Here is the situation. If I go out and start my truck everyday it runs great. If it sits say 48 hours without starting then I have issues. The truck will start fine but then about a minute or two after it dies. I can crank it and get it running again and she purr's like a kitten. I have it in a shop right now that doesn't know whats going on. I am sure I am developing a air pocket between the lift pump and the injector pump. I am sure it starts easy with the fuel in the injector pump but the the air pocket hits. I had issues 6 months or so again and changed the fuel filter, then this started happening.
Where do I start at now? Whats inbetween the lift pump and the injector pump? Is there a check valve that could be bad? Maybe the seal on the fuel filter?

had the same problem, search on here how to delete the fuel heater. There is a common air leak point on the fuel heater that when its shorted out it will melt the gasket and allow air in. That and upgrading to an airdog 165 and replacing all my lines solved my problem.

yeah my truck would lose prime and develope an air pocket if I let it sit over night or more than 10 hrs. It was very frustrating to say the least.
