Default 60# valve spring install, 12v cummins, need help!

I need to know if there is an easy way to get to the last 2 valve covers, I am up-grading to 60# springs with the engine in the truck. Any help would be appreciated.

not an easy way to get to them but if you take the plastic cowl off the cab there are access plugs so you can pull the rocker studs out and get the spring compressor tool in there.

Do the valves fall through when you release the retainers? Or do the valve seats have enough stiction to keep them in place?

You have to get the pistons up on combustion and exhaust. For example when #1 is up on combustion, #6 will be up on exhaust stroke. You will know this by turning the engine slowly and watching the rocker arms. When the pistons are at the top, the tension is off both springs on that cylinder. When the piston is all the way to the top and tappets are loose, now it is safe to remove the springs. IF THIS IS NOT CORRECT, SOMEONE PLEASE CORRECT ME!

That is definitely correct. Just wondering how tight the valve seals are

the valves will absolutly fall through if the piston is all the way down, but you really have to have TDC off quite a bit to loose the entire stem through the head. if you are worried pop a magnet on the top of the stem before you take the keepers off.
