how thick does the kdp tab need to be I need to cut one real quick

never mind you guys are too slow I used a peice of 3/32

 

Just about anything thicker than tin foil will work. You have to remember, its not being pressed out by anything physical. It just vibrates and shimmies around. Depending on the motor frequencies... it could vibrate out 1/8"... then vibrate in 1/4". Thats why some go right away... some take years. Just depends on how the thing resonates in its hole.


So yes. It will.

 

I used a piece of aluminum on my 96 from an old no trespasing sign i had kickin around... idk how its held up havent taken anything apart to see.. but im guessing its good cuz i havent blown a hole in the side of my case and nothing has fallen out of the pan on oil changes!! still have the sighn and im prob goin to use the same on the 95 i just picked up...

I have seen people use thin flat steel or things along that line and have it work. Gyayo2012, did you double over thestrip from the sign, or just cut a strip of it out and call it done?
