should i bore or sleeve the block
I would sleeve the block. I had a newer 06cr block I sleeved in 1/6 cylinders kept stock pistons and rings and 80k later with a smarty on 4 running the dog **** out of it I haven't had any issues with the sleeves. It will be the cheaper and most economical route.
I vote sleeve. We have done several that way with zero issues. Typically the sleeve material is stronger then the original block.

i was told you could not sleeve these blocks.. i guess you can!? where do you buy the new sleves from? I have an old block thats been sitting because of this same isue!! would love to build it back up!
We sleeve them all the time. Just talk to your local machine shop if they cant get a sleeve for it i would find a shop that can and use them instead.
