Vacuum leaks often cause the vacuum switch to illuminate the brake light.

my dash was lit up like a christmas tree... the odometer and none of the gauges worked correctly. blown alternator or something stupid like that... it was fixed, so then my brake and abs lights came on so it got me frustrated and i found out after further knee scraping on my driveway that these lights were due to my sensor being covered in an inch of mud XD. simple clean and fix. i check/service over my hoses and entire truck regularly. Its the only thing to my name. I pay enough for it.
