Indeed. Had the 40/35 hybrid built with a 12cm exhaust housing with hthe plan of pumping it up to a 7 blade super 40 in the future. But now that it's toast I might as well consider better options.

Tell me more about this s358? Will it spool fast and push a g good volume of air as well? Is it wastegated? Well my down pip fit it?

why not a 62 or 64,, wheel? because you are so much light you will be able to spool a bigger turbo quite a bit faster 62/71 62/71 or a 68mm turbine wheel. if i were in your shoes i would def lean towards a 68 or 71mm wheeled turbo. and your down pipe will fit nothing but a hx35 wh1c or your hybrid because it used one of those 2 housings. you will need to upgrade to an hx40 style downpipe.

He is wanting to keep stock injectors, so a 62 won't spool as fast as he seems to want it to. That's why I suggest a 58

noted, but i still think since he weights probably a ton less then us a bigger turbo could be used and work well. the engine will naturally rev faster giving him the DP he needs to spool it.

no no... I have no preference of keeping stock injectors Goblin. I've just been looking for a set of 215 sticks because I know they are fuel effiecient and I thought everyone and their brother had a set of them that they had taken out of their truck. I just dont want/cant spend 4-600 on a set of injectors right now. So I know 215s will be a decent bump up from my tiny 160 injectors.

On a side note, I realllly dont want to step up to a 4" downpipe if possible... I have my entire exhaust setup at 3" and dont want to have to go back and redo the entire thing... much less that 4" will hang stupid low below the body, even if it is pressed up touching the cab. I have a short exhaust, comes out behind the door, so I'm not worried about the reduced backpressure of 4".

On a sidenote... any help will be greatly appreciated, I dont need the perfect turbo... I need something that will be cost effective, good spool, and decent performance. Basically anything is an upgrade from my chinese hx35. I got home today and I'm starting to blow an excessive amount of white smoke at idle. I'm assuming my seals are about toast now....

So if anyone at least has a spare turbo to let go for cheap would be appreciated.... haha. I dont think I have to many more days on this one.

if you have to run 3ii exhaust then the hx34/40 hybrid is about your only option for anything otherthan bone stock. you could reduce a he351 to a 3in pretty safely. better turbo than a he at a 60/60/9 very fast spool.

Isn't the 351 the electronically controlled variable outlet turbo?

you will be reducing a s300 from a 4in to a 3in it would be hard for me to say go for that! you need to stick with something that has a 3in or close to 3 in housing. i dont remember what the housing is on an he i know its bigger than 3 but i dont think it is a full 4in either.
