Default 1pc Driveshaft in 94 reg cab 3500?

Im removing the transfer case looking PTO unit from behind my 12v/47RH in my 94 regular cab, 2wd dually(thats been slightly lowered), and swaping in a regular tail shaft... It currently has a 1pc driveshaft, I havent had any reg cab trucks to compare mine to, but do they come from the factory with a 2Pc like the ex cab trucks do?

What would the pros and cons be to having my 1pc lengthed, vs buying a 2pc from an ex cab(for$100), and then having it shortened?

Are you sure thats a pto unit and not an overdrive ? PTO's go on the side of the tranny.
