how to tune afc to get less lag?
so i am new here, but i have a cummins in my ford and i have removed the fuel plate and blocked off waste gate.it have lots of power but it seems like it takes forever to spool. after it starts spooling it will shoot to 30 pounds of boost if i am wide open throttle. i know that if i turn the star wheel to loosen the spring it will put fuel in at lower boost. i been tweaking it but still doesnt seem to accelerate like it should any opinions help thanks

i would buy a 100 fuel plate. it will smoke less when you first get on it so it will spool your turbo faster. i wouldnt worry about un blocking your waste gate until you are hitting like 35 psi with your turbo. an exhaust will aslo help with the turbo spool. straight pipe is the way to go

slow. i have the housing set in the middle and the star wheel is three turns from full forward. it was alot looser but it would smoke like a train and not any more performance. the smoke screw is not even pushing the diaphram. just want it to spool quick and go, it definately breaks tires loose when it starts spooling but takes forever.

so to reply to holset cummins, that does make sense from what i have read on this forum and how the afc works. so what is the difference between the 100 and the o plate?
