Truck #2 - Truck ones seems supicious and has a salvage title.. Plus if your better off making all of the mods your self so you know they have been done, but please read your smoke thread first. Because if thats all your goona use your truck for then please go buy a prius...

 

Truck #2 seems better but i dont know about the automatic tranny.

 

As long as you change the fluid and adjust the bads when needed you be A OK mine has an auto with 234K and it TOWS, I just take care of here and shell take care of me...

Ya make sure the front end some what tights and check the u joints, and ask if hes ever done valve lash, check for oil leaks gun it when you test it and see if the tranny hesitates when it shifts ( dont make it a habit) But for 7500 for 150K that good mine had 212 when I got her and I paid 6500, but dont me scared of an auto my the mass hesteria, they can be just as good or better than a manuel when you build them, and they plenty good for mild mods.

 

Could i put an edge comp box on it?

 

Depends if its a 98.5 or not. Is it 12v pr 24v? Listen don't buy a box fr it until the trans is looked at, you get gauges,intake and of its a 24v a lift pump, then and only then get a comp box

If its a 24 valve yes you can.. 12 Valve no, and when you look under the hood if its a 24 it will have a one piece valve cover and 12 valve will have six covers..
