guy's i have a question. i have an 06 2500 gmc, with a hypertech tuner, 4.5 turbo back exhaust & airraid cold air intake. After 60000 miles my check engine light started coming on. It is throwing a p403 code i was told it was the egr valve . replaced it but still get the code. When I change fuel filter & clean the air filter I can reset it & it stays off for around 2500 miles . Theres got to be something I can do about it . please let me know something other than i have a piece of !!!!

If you are meaing P0403 rather than p403 it is the EGR recirrculation control circuit.
P0403 is an indication of a problem with the EGR Servo motor electronics and is
unrelated to the Finger Stick which will neither cause nor cure this code.
This is directly from Kennedy Diesel website for EGR blocker plate/fingerstick kit. Your kit will not clear this code. You need to get it fixed/replaced or if you have/get EFI Live you can reprogram so that computer ignores these codes.
This happened to my 06LLY last month, was still under warranty and dealership replaced EGR valve motor/solenoid after their "cleaning/cycling" repair did not work.
It has abolutely nothing to do with the exhaust mods, but that is an easy target. Mine was gummed up with carbon/soot deposits that result from the design of recirculating exhaust gases for cleaner emissions. If you are under warranty, tell your dealer to stick it and go to anothe GM shop. I am not sure on this, but the EGR motor/solenoid is part of the Dmax engine and is likely under the 100k mile warranty.
