i was told that if i put the intake and the egr delete on without a programmer it will throw codes is this true

 

intake - NO it wont throw a code

do you have just a block plate or a whole EGR delete kit? Either way this will throw a code without eliminating it in some way

 

i just have the block plate. how do i get the code off if i put it on and will it hurt the truck if i put it on

 

The ppe should eliminate the code just by telling the ecm that the EGR code is not an issue, and therefore it wont cause the light to come on

the block plate will actually be better for your truck than not having it on, the engine light is just a nuisance

 

I'm looking for a tuner also. I like the Edge Juice w/ Attitude because of the gauges you get included on the screen. I also like the PPE Xcelerator for being able to adjust gear ratios. Is there a tuner out there like Edge (w/ guages on the screen) that will also adjust gear ratios?

 

I have a bully dog on my 04.5 ranch truck and haven't had a problem. It's been on since new and trucks got lil over 277,000 miles.
