Will it hurt the truck if you just have the blocker truck on the egr and do not fingerstick it? or is it just an annoying light because that does not really bother me.

there will just be a P0401 EGR insufficient flow code, it will cause a light, i had it for about 6months on mine before I got EFI live, didnt hurt anything

Im new to this forum, so Sorry to bring up an old thread but to ask about the code, if I install the blocker plate and not the fingerstick I can continue running the truck with the code, or I have to clear it b4 I can go. Also it won't hurt if I block it and don't install fingerstick? I just want to go straight pipe but don't wanna hurt the truck in anyway. I have the tripledog w/outlook so I'm assuming I could clear the codes easily until I installed the fingerstick?

 

the truck will run fine without the fingerstick, You will just continually get p0401, insufficient EGR flow, like I stated in post 12, I ran my truck with just the EGR blocker and a straight pipe for over 6 months and just had the engine light on, no harm was done, I now have EFI live and have no codes or engine lights
