Default head bolts or studs?

Is it worth the extra $ for the studs and any problems putting the heads on in the truck? Or should i just stay with stock bolts.

That really depends. What truck do you have and what modifications have you made? On a stock truck it's probably not worth the money or effort unless you already have the heads off for some other reason. It will take a pretty big amount of power/boost to list your heads.

I agree, you can run a lot of boost before the stock bolts stretch if they were torqued properly, a lot more than the stock turbo can provide

Thanks guys for the input, put in new head bolts.I don't want to get to radical for a work truck ! But it is funny to see the look on the tunners face when they finally catch you sitting at the next light, and i only run my edge on 3 because i dont want to rebuild my trans any time soon.

Dito to the other comments, unless you are running 10 + PSI over stock, i wouldnt mess with it. but i would get a gage to monitor your boost, thats how you can tell for sure if you are going to need. but you said you already did it so you should be solid for a while. its deffinately on my list of things to do. but im not running near the HP/TQ and boost that would make me worry about head bolts yet. LOL

The edge should have built in gauges... no need to an extra boost gauge
