Sweet setup.
Any other suggestions for cheap mods?
I saw in the Cummins section they used a PVC pipe intake that gives a sweet whistling sound, any suggestions for the LB7 to get a nice whistle from the turbo?

get an aftermarket intake that looks like a filter on a stick. but you do lose the filtration that the oem filter can provide. and u want to make sure they have bellows on the intake to accommodate for engine movement. i had an afe the whistle was loud, but i would clean it more and i would see higher iat.

you can go put a small ball valve on the wastegate line, do you have any gauges?

No gauges yet, but that reminds me....
BEFORE I do the engine mods, I should get that done first!

Get a 2" test plug from the hardware store.

Pull off the resonator box and plug the tube going into it.

Make sure to use a lock nut or locktite to keep that damn thing in there right, dont want that plug/wing nut/washer falling loose

then shove the resonator box back on and tighten the clamp back up.

As long as you have a straight pipe this sounds f'ing SICK!!!!

The spool up is nice but the lb7's stop roaring soon as you let off the throttle so the whistle lasts a while and sounds WAY better than any other engine.

YEah, but I suck with a grinder.... and not willing to f*%k the horn up. Although I think there is a guy on another forum that will do a swap for the stock with a modded horn for a few bucks.... Nice little side job to make a few bucks...
