I have a 2000 f350 with a 7.3 and the turbo isn't working. i dont have a check engine light on i have checked the turbo it is still turning and looks alright. i dont have any exhaust leaks and the truck doesn't smoke. the ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Default turbo isnt working

I have a 2000 f350 with a 7.3 and the turbo isn't working. i dont have a check engine light on i have checked the turbo it is still turning and looks alright. i dont have any exhaust leaks and the truck doesn't smoke. the truck runs fine other than the turbo doesnt kick in any suggestions? -

if its still turning and ya have no smoke then its prolly fine

the truck doesnt have any power and you dont hear the turbo kick in -

I moved your thread down here where it will get a bit more exposure...


Check all your boots, from the turbo to the intercooler, and from the intercooler to the Y pipe... Also check the boots under the Y pipe.

Also check to make sure the MAP sensor is hooked up on the Y pipe as well. -

Have you checked for codes?
Check for any restriction in the exhaust, plugged air filter, etc. -

Did you see these questions... check EACH boot, feel it for tears or blisters...

Also, is there a loud hiss sound from the exhaust? -
