Default Help! 7.3 Stalling & Sputters

I would appreciate some help if anyone has any ideas.

I have a 2002 E450 7.3 14’ Utilimaster box truck. Truck has 62k original miles. I’m experiencing intermittent stalling, hesitation and shut offs, predominantly in the lower RPM range. Power level seems a little off too but hard to tell. The truck starts fine, idles fine and appears to run ok at higher RMPs. I don’t have a tach so I have no definitive RPM numbers to offer. When I step on the accelerator pedal the truck will buck, stammer, stutter, sometimes stall completely or eventually take off when the RPMs climb. Under load in higher RPMs the engine appears to run pretty steady. When it does stall out it generally can be restarted immediately.

I have replaced the cam position sensor with a new spare I keep in the truck and purged the fuel bowl a couple times to no avail. I guess it’s possible but not very likely my replacement cam position sensor is bad. I have another replacement I could try. Engine oil is newer 10 -40 Rotella filled to proper level, air filters are new, fuel appears ok as I always get it from the same station with above ground tank. Fuel filter is maybe 2 years old with 3k miles on it. I will pick up a new one today as a precaution. No codes are present and no warning lights appear. No oil or fuel leaks are visible.

Based on what I’ve read the most common issues with these symptoms include:
ICP
IPR
UVCH

I have a buddy coming over with a professional mechanics scanner as mine is a simple ODB2 which doesn’t allow for diagnostics. Thoughts on tests to run? Places to start? Really need to get this thing fixed and get back to work.

All suggestions appreciated.

In case it helps anyone else I believe I found the problem. I used a buddies Snap On scanner to run a few tests and pulled a P1298 code (injector driver Module). It was the only code registered.

I went ahead and removed the IDM. As I pulled it from the vehicle I could hear a sloshing sound. Upon breaking the seal and removing the cover there was about a cup and a half of foul water within.

I haven't found a replacement yet, might try and clean this one out and reinstall.

-Cheers
