Default Shaving The Timing Advance Piston

Any thoughts? Should get a larger range of advance, alowing you to run a lower "set" timing and have more advance...

technically it could work but i wouldnt know how to determine when you've gone too far. it may end negating itself as the pin may end up binding in the cam plate

tower_ofpower's Sig:One thing i learned in college: DON'T!!! stick your fingers where you wouldn't stick Mr. Happy 89' W250, full fuel 1 1/2 turns, smoke screw needs adjustment, M&H M3 fuel pin and timing spacer, 366 spring, air dog 150,3" DP to 4" DP back bully dog exhaust with the front baffle cut out, 6" skyjacker lift, shocks and dual stabilizer, custom track bar. Soon to be:transmission upgade, turbo and manifold swap, and injectors.

I like the idea if it worked. I don't mind advanced timing on the upper rpm end but low revs.

why shave the piston when you can add travel to it.

1 mm, thats a fair amount isn't it? So it just allows timing to come in as the rpm's ( case pressure ) increase? What is the mm advance of a stock set up at full advance?

it doenst change how the dynamic timing works just how far it can go.

i dont know what the stock setup is, i will check it tomarrow.
