Hey guys I need some help asap! At first the fuel pump quit workin on my truck then I cut the wire and ran it straight to a power source an it kicked on. Then my fass system quit putting out enough to suck fuel but it still kicks on. Then my radio quit working out of no where. And now every now an then driving down the road the check engine light will come on and it cuts out an comes right back out of it. The code says injection pump/injector. PCM mabe?! Thanks!

Just curious but what's involved in PCM replacement on these truck.

 

You have to buy the PCM and have if flashed by the dealer.

 

can a tech II do this? been wanting a reason to get a tech and past couple months i been seeing more and more reasons why

 

I've swapped PCM's between truck temporarily and had no issues. Long term may be different though. Have one from a 2001 auto sitting on my desk.
