Hey guys, I've got a boat load of parts for my 2000 5.9. Building twins with DAP's add a turbo kit and an s400 83 mm to add with the hx40 that is already on the pickup. ARP Head studs, 150hp sticks, 110 lb. valve sprigs, smeding push rods, .093 connector tubes, colt cam, and a bigger and better FASS system. I've currently got an edge comp in it for a tuner and was looking to add a smarty for a little more timing. Anyways the guy I bought the pickup from assures me that the trans has an ATS auto rebuild (torque converter, valve body, basically everything but billet input and outputs) But I have my doubts. Even when I get on it hard it seems to shift pretty slow and really raps up before shifting. So What I was curious about is what should I do to my trans to make it safe for all of my mods??I would like to eventually see at least 700hp out of her. Thanks

 

You can check the pressures in the trans if you have the gauges.

Check TV cable adjustment.

Adjust the bands.

If you have doubts, look for any numbers on the trans and call ATS. They will be able to tell you whats going on if they are their numbers.
