Hey guys im new to the cummins have had other diesels tho my main question is what should my fuel pressure be @ WOT? i have a 2002 24v another question i have is can i use like a 7.3 powerstroke inline lift pump mounted close to the fuel tank to help feed the lift pump can i run both pumps is my question or if i put an inline close to tank will i have to bypass the pump on block?

if you install another pump onto the truck, you will need to bypass the factory pump and need to have it wired in to the original harness. most pressure a vp can handle with out causing problems is 17psi at idle. no more than 20 psi at wot. minimum pressure is 7psi at wot to keep the vp44 alive. at wot for best performance need to see 12psi minimum. the best thing for these trucks is going with an aftermarket fueling system with the filters. people go back and forth on whats beter, fass or airdog. but all will agree either is way better than factory. have any further questions, feel free to shoot me a p.m. when you have enough posts.

also there is aftermarket replacements that just bolt on to where the factory on was. these are electric. your best bet though,is to get one with the filters that mounts on the frame.
