how do i get my fan off the front of the engine -

ltr450's Sig:truck- 1996 2500 5speed with 170000 miles all stock
toys-06 Suzuki LTR 450 lots of mods, 1999 cr250, 1998 ski-doo 500
Amsoil dealer since 2006
Dads truck- 2006 ram2500 cc lb 4" straight pipe cai, trubo ring mia

There is a large nut on the backside of the fan. It is left hand thread, which means you push down on the drivers side to loosen it.
I had to clamp a vise-grip on mine (not too tight) and put the end of a 2X4 against it, and whack the other end of the 2X4 with a hammer.
There are other methods. -

Racer9's Sig:'96 Ram, CTD, 4X4, flatbed, ThurenFab trackbar, Lock-rite, 1 ton wheel cylinders.
Motor; #100 plate, governor springs shimmed, loose starwheel. 306hp/743tq.
Exhaust; Schwitzer S300G, 4" downpipe into 5" turnout stacks.
Trans; Intelligent Engineering billet input shaft, Dunrite VB and single disc TC, Burt Brown rebuild/upgrade.

they also sell a wrench for it at the parts store, got mine at o'reilleys!!! -

Yeah, you can also use a punch to break it free. Give it a good rap and it should come free. -

or if you have an air hammer it will take it off -
