Default Parking brake warning light won't go off

Thanks for all the help so far everybody, latest issue is regarding this light...I pulled the parking brake assy out to lubricate & check over, the switch doesn't seem to make a difference when grounded or not, light stays on. Grounding the switch wire directly has same result...any ideas?
Thanks

Not very helpful but... I unplugged mine. Of course, that means it's never on either, but I never have to think about it not turning off anymore.

I prefer things to work as intended, but sometimes my patience just isn't up to it.

Might also look to see if the micro switch. For the park brake assembly is un plugged or messed up somehow ...

Took the park brake assy out....switch I think is just a ground for the light, tested fine, unless the feed wire is grounded between the switch and the lamp....still checking.
