Wanted to buy HX80 or Big Brother Turbo
Like the title says, I would like to buy a HX80 ( Holset ) Turbo alive or dead. But can still be rebuilt..
Or I would like a Big Brother ( Holset ) Turbo Dead or alive. But can be rebuilt yet if need be.
Show me what you got please. if you know were to find one let me know.. I do not want a new one. Thanks Yall

I don't think you'll have to worry about overspinning it. You'd need at least a 15:1 pulley ratio to spin it at 60k rpm, if you are at 4k rpm (motor). I guess that's possible if you just use the shaft or something on the turbo side.
Do you have any actual plans yet for how you are going to set it up?

Yes i have a plan on how i will make it work.. I will have a 8 inch Pulley on the Engine crank and a 4 inch pulley on the procharger..
I will have a gear box that i will make, That bolts on in place of the Exhaust housing and Wheel.
The 4 inch pulley that goes to the gearbox I will build, Will spine a 4.5 inch gear, that will spin a 1.25 inch gear that is on the same shaft as a another 4.5 inch and that gear will spin another 1.25 inch gear that is put in place of the Exhaust wheel, and that intern will spin the compressor. so with that gearing when the engine is at 3000 RPMs
The compressor wheel will be at 78,000 RPMs.
To get it all tuned just right from there, I might have to change pulley sizes to get it just right.

Lets say the engine is running at 3000 RPMs at the crank, the 8 inch pulley is bolted to the crank, So it is spinning at 3000rpms, that would make the 4 pulley that is feed off the 8 inch pulley spine at 6000rpms. the 4 inch pulley spins (hooked to the same shaft) a 4.5 Inch gear inside the gear box. So it spins at 6000rpms just like the 4 inch pulley.. The 4.5 inch gear spins a 1.25 inch gear. ( the 4.5" gear has a radius of 14.13 inches, The 1.25" gear has a Radius of 3.925 inches, So one turn of the 4.5" gear spins the 1.25" gear 3.6 times, Remember the 4.5 gear is spinning at 6000rpms so now the 1.25" is now spinning at 21,600rpms, Now there is another 4.5 inch gear that is on the same shaft as the 1.25 inch gear that is spinning at 21,600rpms so that mean the 4.5 inch is spinning at 21,600rpms,
So the 4.5 inch gear that is now spinning at 21,600rpms, spins the 1.25 inch gear that is on the exhaust shaft ( where the exhaust wheel used to be) now remember this the 1.25" gear has a radius of 3.925 inches and the 4.5 has a 14.13 inch radius, so one turn of the 4.5 gear spins the 1.25 gear 3.6 Times. So now we have the 4.5" spinning at 21,600rpms
which in turn spins 1.25" gear at 77,760rpms which makes the compressor wheel spin at 77,760...
But i can change the output rpms by bigger or smaller with the 4 inch Pulley.
