You can have all of my auto parts if i can have all of your manual ones! You have to take them out though! LoL. I dont mind the auto but would MUCH rather have a manual on my truck.

Your opening Quote was "i have a 2000 dodge ram 2500 with a manual tranny"

Your Second Line was "i want to convert it to a manual 5spd or 6spd"

Wha Wha What is it Boy, Do You Have A Manual Transmission, Or Do you want a Manual Transmission?

The 10 million Dollar question is:

2wd or 4wd?

I have a complete NV5600 conversion from an '02 for a 2WD.

I also have most of an NV4500 2WD conversion, but the trans will need rebuilt.

Mark.

I have a steering column out of an 02 manual. No you don't need a new crank or a new bellhousing.

That's because they don't know and are just guessing. I've done the swap. I know you don't.

It will start and it will run. I'm not sure if it will go into limp mode or not. A whole 20 mph top speed. I've seen threads of people who have swapped manuals into autos without changing PCMs. It is much easier to swap to a manual than an auto. Ask me how I know. I'll see if I can dig the thread up.

Some reading for you.

Also, You don't HAVE to have a manual steering column to do the swap. You can drive the pin out of the shift lever and just use it that way. But If you decide to swap steering columns you could sell your auto swap parts to recoup some of your cash. OR since you are going to a manual you can just modify your existing wiring harness without having to swap it out.

If you have a buddy with a Smarty they can reflash your trucks ECM for the manual. IT will run with out it but the fueling tables are slightly different and makes it easier to stall.
