I've finally made the decision to get a new truck sense mine has seen better days. Ive chosen to get a DIESEL!!! i pretty well know what i want witch boils down to two trucks both with
CUMMINS and with a MANUAL 5 or 6 speed. there's only one problem... i cant find what i want. i know its out there i just havent found it yet.... thats where i needs some help finding a truck. so heres what im looking for:
a 1999-02 short bed ext. cab
OR:
an 05 quad cab short bed
of course both in a 4x4

:a place in a town close to me has a 98.5 it long bed, ext. cab, 81k miles, 4x4 5 speed, has a steering stableizer on it and a edge ez wanting 12 something

also a good friend of mine has a 03 3rd gen for sell gor 16,900

 

what kinda shape is this 3rd gen in?

 

Look it over REAL good, especially the common rail.

 

it has 160k and is all highway and is in real good shape. all body panels are straight. paint is good condition, leather interior, good.

also has a banks kit on it for the past year, and was set to defuel around 1050

 

what all do i need to look out for on these trucks, i know the 2nd gen has a block 53 issue
and i cant think of any thing else,about that third gen, does it have a 6 speed?
