The one thing I noticed about the $50 scanners was that they didnt read CAN only OBDII and most of them dont read some of the imports.
they also dont have a code description.
the one I just got shows the possible causes and the most likely cause. it also can record when the code comes and what the sensors are reading at the time of the code. I was going to go with the simple reader but figured for the little extra I could get one that does more and can read anything I hook it up to.
