Cool 2005 F-250 Front Axle

Ok, I have a wild hair and am looking to possibly do an axle swap on my dodge. Lookin for a 2005 f250 front axle. It actually has 15* sharper wheel cut, already has locking hubs with serviceable bearings and can match to the gears for the rear and the brakes just bolt right up without mods. To change the Dodge front to a dynatrack free spin kit would cost around $1600 and should be able to find a f250 front for cheaper. then I am going to do the OneUpOffroad.com lift since I just became a dealer for them. Anyone have an idea of what the f250 front axles are going for?

Ford started using sealed unit bearings in '99....same as the Dodges.

The locking hub is only a benefit if you get an axle out of a truck with a manual t-case...the shift-on-the-fly electric t-case trucks have an auto/lock hub with a goofy vacuum chamber/o-ring seal arrangement in the knuckle.

Dynatrac sells a kit to convert Fords, also...fwiw.

One advantage to the Ford axle is the solid RH tube and one piece axle shaft....

another crappy ball joint axle though. go back to a 78-79 ford kingpin 60. It has plenty of axle tube on the driver's side to burn on some link tabs.

there are quite a few for sale on Pirate4x4.Com - The largest off roading website in the world. I don't have any right now though.
