We just acquired an '81 caddy too. It sat in a guys shop for 15 years so its getting a new ip, head gasket and some other things before it goes on the road. Its a sharp looking truck can't wait to get it running.

Yup, they get 55+mpg. The one we picked up is getting a new head, gaskets, head studs, new ip, injectors, turbo kit, 5 speed upgrade, and some other small stuff. I shooting to get at least 60mpg out of it on a regular basis. I found a pic of a caddy on google for you aggie.
