Anybody Know Where The Fuel Screw Is On A 1.5L
#2
If I recall it's on the back of the pump. I may be wrong. It's been a while since I messed with one. I'll be back @ work on Tuesday were I can access VW service net. If you can wait.

The fuel screw on the Bosch Injection pump (1.5, 1.6 and 1.9's) is at the back of the pump on the top cap. You'll see a long horizontal threaded screw with a standard screwdriver slot in the end. The screw has a factory spot welded stainless steel collar on it seated next to a 13mm nut so you can't ajust it.
If you want to adjust it, take off the stainless steel collar( grind it off just to the threads and take a die and clean the threads up) and that will let you adjust it. Going in increases your fuel. Going out decreases your fuel. Do it an 1/8th a turn at a time until you see black smoke when you accellerate. Then back it off some. Be careful. You do not want to get too much fuel or you will heat up too much.
