Cool ! Greg I Think they have Timing Chain issues Thats About All I Know about the TDIS ,,,oh and Fratelli Bosios Are suppose to be the Stick of chioce

Yep, timing chain is about it. My dad has a 2006 beetle TDI. Great little car. I can't believe the mileage that thing gets. Makes me with our 2004 Passat was a TDI. We just have the 1.8T. Good car though.

You guys are funny! They don't have chains! They got belts!

It may have a recall or 2 on it. They require special oil, 505.01. Any other Q's let me now. I'm VW service advisor.

Belt, chain, oops. You are correct that they require a special oil. I run the AMSOIL European Forumla in the VWs in my family. 1 jetta, 1 beetle, and 1 passat. Anyway, they are awesome little cars. Much quicker than I expected. My '02 in stock form and a 6 speed had to work hard to keep up with that 2006 Beetle TDI. They really squirt off the line! LOL
