Default want to try pulling tomorrow night and have a couple questions

Ok I have a 2006 f250 with 6' lift on it. Mods in sig. Any tricks to getting a decent pull? Last time i tried i didnt move the sled (was with a 2wd cummins). Should I use 4x4 high or low? Should i build boost before the launch then just foot to the floor or what? Thanks for the help.

Go in 4 low. Usually it isn't a good idea to pull with such a big lift. It really increases the chances of breaking something

4lo, lock it out of od, use tow haul, roll it out for about 10' then mat it. Be prepared to let off or feather the throttle since you will have wheel hop. Try to lock up the rear suspension so it doesn't move, that will help a ton. But above all don't try to be the redneck hero, let off if it doesnt feel or sound right.

Well I did it. 4low stick it in 2 (auto) built up about 5lb of boost then kinda just half throttle the whole way. First pull 198' second pull 228' ft. No axle hop at all. And I had a blast. Sure not the fastest or furthest but to me it was well worth the $20. Going to get some traction bars soon but all in all I was very happy. She didn't skip a beat. Thanks for the info guys.

Well I got an interesting call yesterday from the guys that run Morgans Corner Truck and Tractor pull. He asked if i was willing to enter in the Saturday night stock class for the national pull this weekend. I bout fell out my chair since the month before was my first 2 pulls ever and i never would have expected to be told to come to the nat. event. Not that we in the stock class are really competing with the big time guys, I guess the stock class is set up by the track that nat is at. But hey i still think its cool and it pays for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. So i said ah heck why not. I was going to go anyways but now i get to play a little too. Im not expecting to win but I am going to run the truck a little harder this time. I only used my street tune last time and didnt push the throttle pat half ever. So this time im planning on launching still in 4low 2nd gear (auto) but going to watch the rpm's this time and push her a bit more. also going to run my KEM race tune. If anybody has any other suggestions I am all ears. I would love to get traction bars but dont have the money for them. But I had NO axle hop last time so hears to me doing better this time.

Build a set. Can be made very cheaply and easily with top links for a tractor, heavy wall tube and pins, not bolts for the mounts so you can take them out.

can you get a hold of some 33" tires for your next hook and lock 3rd gear up?

Made 3rd place @242.280ft. Not bad but the truck for some reason didnt sound right. It just didnt seem to have the same strong power as it did last pull. I tried using the race tune but think my street tune seemed to have more lowend power. Although I pulled about 20ft further this time so Im kinda confused. Oh and I also shifted into 3rd this time @3200rpm. Should I have shifted later?
