in bed weight bracket
anyone running suitcase weights in the bed of there truck? i just always threw my weights in back but would like to build a bracket for them, ive got some ideas but was wondering if anyone else built there own brackets? pics would be great!
I built a weight rack a few years back for the box of my truck. Worked really nice since you didn't have to bend over to pick up the weights and I didn't have to worry about them flying out the back of the box without the tail gate on when it was on the trailer. Sorry but I didn't take any pictures of it.
are u pulling with weights in the bed of ure truck or moving weights to the pull and just having a bracket to put them on ?
in the bed gives you no advantage. not saying you dont no that but the sled puts all the weight on the back you need. build you a weight bracket out front and i promise u will se a difference.
not tryin to step on toes just giving advice.

I think he had this idea for the classes that don't let you hang weights on the front of the truck, but you don't want to give up 1000lbs to a crew cab long bed dually. I plan on makeing one that I can put into my B&W hitch for winter wieght.
o ok i was wondering that but wasnt sure. in that case my buddy just made a bracket to "hold his while hauling down road" but was still very solid and could be used for same purpose. just a bar from bedside to bed side with a support in the middle.
I wish i could run weights in the front but not in the classes i pull in
Just trying to bring up the weight of my truck closer to 8000# and 8500# like J-pipes was saying... thanks for the input though

Stack the weights on the passenger floor.
