Default pulling with a dodge

i've seen alot of truck pulls and one thing i've noticed is that the reg cab second gen dodges seem to bend or flex between the cab and the box. i was just wonderin what some of you guys do to eliminate that. someday i'd like to build my 96 into a puller, but its still a long ways off

You want the truck to flex in the middle , that means both your front and rear wheels are hooking hard. most ex cab trucks that run well also bend the frame.

if you don't want flex make your traction bars long

my regular cab used to flex really bad to the point the frame had to be put on a jig, i made the traction bars go up to the tranny cross member and added a few pieces of flat steel. now no more flex
