well maybe its not at bad as i thought but its still bad none the less but it looks like its gonna be fixable but going to need new pistons and some machine work

i guess its time to upgrade to air-water intercooling

Strange to see #1 melt down. Blow a tip off an injector?

well we are done with the teardown the bottm end all looks fine so this engine will be sat aside for the rest of this season...going to start transfering parts over to my backup engine tomorrow after i get this one off the engine stand....wont be able to move the cam over tho so i'm gonna be down on power for sure but atleast i'll be showin up and gettin my points for that

the reason it was #1 and not #6 i belive is because i've got my intake dual feed so #6 is actually gettin decent airflow and #1 is now the farthest away from the intake

i belive what happend was the fact that they were stock uncoated pistons and i wasnt running any intercooling because i figured the stocker wasnt gonna flow enough for the charger so i planned on running it non intercooled for this season then put air-water on for next season...guess i had too much fuel for that also starting to think that timing might have had something to do with it...actually kinda looks like the fuel wasnt staying in the bowl at 28*

still seems like that wasnt very long to do that. only time i have saw that was on long floating finishing hooks. i hate over 300 ft. hooks.

starting to think that it gettin shutdown last weekend hurt it....cause since i got it started back after that the engine had a slight noise to it that it didnt have before...shouldnt have pulled it...but it really didnt sound like it was anything major...just sounded like a lifter tick or something
