Is it a built tranny or stock? I know alot of guys running autos and sled pulling. I know two guys that have 40 to 70 hooks on there auto trannys, Ones still running about the other twisted the input shaft after 45,000 miles of towing, racing and sled pulling with 809 hp

i dont know much about trannys. lets say i buy me about an 05 dodge with auto what would be the best things to do to it trannys wise to handle alot of power and how much money we talking

I have an auto in my dually with semi rear! My rear is truly heavy to spin and i can roast em. I've been running Valvoline full synthetic in it i smash it all the time so far no problems and it's a stock transmission.

500 hp, u will need a tc and vb and a billet input. u may be able to survive with stock clutches for a very limited time, but i wouldnt push it hard at that power.
