doesnt look like u could pull a trailer with the hitch in that far. but that gives me a good referance.. thanks for the pics. im gonna start on that stuff soon. doin suspension stops, movin the hitch, sled stops, traction bars, and driveshaft hoops :rocking:

yeah, pulling a trailer with it that far in doesn't look like a great idea
|
i think i could go 10 inches and cut the bumper and be alright
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- i thought u had 2 have a heim joint at both ends.. |
you don't have to. mine have a solid mount on the rear and the heim on the front. having 2 heim joints makes it a bit easier to adjust the length of the bars. to adjust mine I have to un bolt them, with 2 heim joints you have to break free the locking nut and just turn the bar.
|
i moved my hitch in so that the back holes became the front holes then redrilled the other 4 but that would probaly be too far back for a trailer but you might try moving it back just one set of holes

what type if slide in hitch do you use to pull a trailer? is it a cheap one or do you use a solid shank pintle mounting plate with a hitch bolted to it.
you can move the hitch in as far as you want if you have the right parts for pulling the trailer so you ball/pintle is out where you need it |
i just use a standard slide in hitch.. i guess i could move it in and use a solid shank mounting plate thanks for the advice
