86 sled pull?
Hey guys I've always wanted to do a sled pull with my 86 f-250 single cab long bed 4x4 with a banks turbo kit. What classes would I be able to pull in and what type of rules are needed for me to get my truck in to pull a few events thanks guys.

i dont know bout that rswords.
my 6.9 here in pa if i was to sled pull, i know i need stock front bumper, and then i would be in stock class. if i put the turbo on it, they want to throw me in the modified class. i said f that and left.

Depends on the event usually guys..
we have a lot of "run what ya brung" type pulls.. pull trucks by 1/2 3/4 1ton and turbo diesel class. then they run a modified class for points etc.
so look for an event that has a stock class, and stay away from points events and no worries about classes.

not sure.. I'm in ohio where this is an every few day thing in the summer. look for a local pulling group? maybe do some searching on local/county fair type websites. or find some locals on here.
ok cool thanks guys for the help. Are we allowed to build are own hitch cause my family owns a machine shop and welding shop so I don't have to pay the large amount for a hitch or do they have hitch for like 200 bucks?
