Default Back in the saddle

We had three good runs this past week, it’s not very often we get to hit three hooks in four days we hit the Redwood Acres Fair up in Eureka, CA on Wednesday night, Willits Frontier Day's pull on Friday night, and then the Mother lode Fair down in Sonora on Saturday.

I would like to thank a few folks who helped us this week, it is very much appreciated and we couldn’t have had such a successful week with out their help as well as the rest of our sponsors. Props to Joe at Schied Diesel for getting my chargers turned around really fast and for making the special modifications to the HC5A that are worth a substantial increase in horsepower Next my close friend Joel Gooch from J&H Performance we hung out the entire week. Next up Brad, Dana, and the girls at Ponci’s Diesel for letting us use the shop on Thursday and inviting us into their home between events. Joel and I replaced a gasket, massaged the turbo plumbing, and fixed a couple leaks on the BBD. We also installed my new E.D. towing turbo on the tow rig so a big shout out to Chris and Glenn as well.

Here is the Eureka video the track was loose and nobody was getting any traction most folks were around the 200’ mark. I came out of the whole low on RPM’s in an attempt to not blow the tire off the line and still had to feather it half way down the track, I believe we ended up around the 250’ mark:

Here is the Willits video: this was a great first time event with a good venue, good crowed, good pits, and good track. I was able to leave the line a lot stronger and maintain the RPM’s out of the whole.

Here is the Willits passenger cam video: basically I stuck a stationary camera right on the windshield in front of the passenger seat. I also added some ofthe gasket around the camera case so the noise from the motor doesn't freak out the mic on teh camera.

Here is the Sonora video:

yeah i was there, all i could think of is how pissed you had to be for driving across the country and not being able to light the turbos...what was actually wrong with it?? It just seemed like it was dumping too much fuel and snuffing it out to me

The large turbo had a bent saft so it wouldn't lite we think it happened when we split the block. didn't think about colateral damge just built a new motor had the charger rebuilt and all is good now. just wiating on the new head.

you should see if the sled operator will let you mount it in the cab of the sled...that would be sweet

It was a tough decision to install the Woodruff rods or mount them on a plaque and hang them in the house them are some pertty pieces for sure.

Yup that block had over 4 years on it, still using the same head, new one coming shortly
