and can somebody pm me, i have a few questions about whats "legal" motor wise.


also, can i pull in 2wd?

DHRA rules:

Work Stock Class Overview
2007 Winner
Dale Calender
The Work Stock class is designed for daily-driven, on-the-road pickup trucks (full-bodied diesel pickup trucks). Valid DOT registration and license plates are mandatory. The vehicle must be four-wheel drive. Work Stock class will be a trophy-only class and is not a part of the championship. All pullers must have a valid state driver’s license. All pullers must have a current DHRA base membership.
  • Stock Turbo
  • 8000 pound weight
  • 26” hitch height
  • No hanging front weights; ballast is allowed in the bed
  • Stock-appearing OEM body, chassis, driveline, transfer case, engine, fuel system, turbocharger, transmission, differentials and restraint system
  • One inch of rear suspension compression travel
  • DOT, non-cut tires

Street Diesel Class Overview
2007 Winner
Joel Reece
The Street Diesel (SD) class is designed for streetable pickup trucks (full-bodied diesel pickup trucks). Valid
DOT registration and license plates are mandatory. The vehicle must be four-wheel drive.
  • 2.6 inch inducer-no bushing allowed on turbo
  • 8000 pound weight
  • 26” hitch height
  • Driveshaft loops
  • OEM body, chassis, driveline, transfer case, transmission, differentials and restraint system
    DOT, non-cut tires
  • One inch of rear suspension compression travel

Super Street Class Overview
The Super Street class is designed for streetable pickup trucks (full-bodied diesel pickup trucks). Valid DOT registration and license plates are mandatory. The vehicle must be four-wheel drive.
  • 2.8 inch inducer-no bushings allowed on turbo
  • 8000 pound weight
  • 26” hitch height
  • Driveshaft loops
  • OEM body, chassis, driveline, transfer case, transmission, differentials and restraint system
  • DOT, non-cut tires
  • One inch of rear suspension compression travel

Pro Mod Class Overview
The Pro Mod class is designed for full-bodied pulling trucks. The vehicle must be four wheel drive.
  • 3.0 inch inducer limit on turbo
  • 8000 pound weight
  • 26” hitch height
  • Driveshaft loops
  • OEM chassis
  • OEM or SFI 16.1 restraint system
  • Helmet and at least SFI 3.2A/5 jacket with DHRA patch
  • DOT, non-cut tires
  • Water injection
  • Sled- and driver-operated air shutoff

Super Modified Class Overview
2007 Winner

The Modified Diesel class is designed for off-road, full-bodied, severely modified pickup trucks built for pulling.
Super Modified Rear Wheel Drive
The 2wd rules are the same with the exception that the trucks must be rear-wheel drive only, weight with driver can be no more than 6200 lbs. and the hitch height limit is increased to 30 inches.
  • 7500 pound weight
  • 26” hitch height
  • Driveshaft loops; fully enclosed intermediate shaft
  • SFI 16.1 restraint system
  • Helmet and jacket with DHRA patch, pants, gloves and shoes meeting SFI specs.
  • Water injection
  • Sled- and driver-operated air shutoff
**RULEBOOK AMENDMENT**
Engines
The engine block must have been available as a factory option or a replica of a factory block from a one-ton or smaller pick-up truck. The following criteria(s) must be met when a replica block is being used: Replicas must maintain the original cylinder head bolt pattern, original cam and crank shaft positions and original exterior block dimensions. The block must be able to accept the stock crankshaft. A harmonic balancer meeting SFI Spec 18.1 is mandatory.

NADM Rules:

NADM is offering a wide range of classes in Diesel Sled Pulling, with a rule set permitting every level of diesel truck to compete from stock street trucks to full blown tube-frame Modified pulling trucks. All classes 8000 pound maximum unless otherwise noted. See class overviews below:

Work Stock: Stock appearing turbochargers, 1" minimum compression travel on rear suspension, water injection prohibited, hanging weights prohibited.

2.6 Street Diesel: Single turbo, 2.6 inch maximum inducer bore, turbocharger bushings prohibited, 1" minimum compression travel on rear suspension, water injection prohibited, receiver style hitch required, hanging weights permitted.

2.8 Street Diesel: Single turbo, 2.8 inch maximum inducer bore, turbocharger bushings permitted, water injection prohibited, bolt in, removable solid rear suspension bars permitted, receiver style hitch required, drive shaft u-joint shields required, hanging weights permitted.

Super Street Diesel: 3.2-inch maximum inducer bore in twin turbo configuration, unlimited inducer bore single chargers permitted, open driveline permitted, DOT tires required.

Modified Diesel: Unlimited turbocharger, 2 stage maximum, open driveline, open tire, 7600 pound maximum weight.

Some events let you pull in 2wd, i think you can have a hitch height of up to 32-36 inches

The sled pull thats happenening Saturday, Sept. 6th in Alvarado, TX is running NADM rules.

ok i guess i will fix my front hubs.


and i was woundering about my "stock" appearing turbo. i guess they dont have to know about the 17*hpop since its "factory". and a modded "factory" IDM, but im sure they will notice i have injectors and other bs.


so i guess i will run in the work stock class

hey im pulling in work stock too, might try out 2.6 class just to get my but handed to me too.

if its a sanctioned pull and dedicated sled trucks are going to be there.......have fun in the 5K rpm work stock class.......those boy's motors are built to spin insane rpms and by no means are those motors stock........just giving you a little warning.....

it cant be any worse than the abuse i put my truck through on a daily bases.
