Trailer frame is slightly bent and I have a broken main leaf on 1 side of 1 axle. Its time for a bit of an upgrade LOL!
I want something big enough I can haul a full-size vehicle. I don't mind working on it, although I don't have the ability to weld. I'm just broke.

LOL! I understand the term "broke" completely. People say that money talks....the only words I hear from my money is "Goodbye!"

scrap what you have and invest in some 8" C channel.

depending on load you need at least 8" of structural steel for it, in either a C or I (H) shape.

6" should be able to handle up to 10k if built well, but I would go 8" for the safety factor since you never know what you might load up.

This was what we were in the progress of building when mother nature sent a pair of tornadoes through and sent most of the shop off to the land of Oz. The main beams and tongue are all 8 inch "I" Beam out of an old state bridge that was torn out.

Thats a 35 foot deck that will carry anything I can fit on It and thats what i wanted. I have had commercial built trailers and broke most of em or snapped welds. I custom built every piece on this and plated every weld on both sides with steel plate. Then for good messure boxed in the tongue to prevent any twist. Ya, it wasnt buult to be light. It was built to haul tractors and loads of hay across rough ground and do It forever.

Thank you for the pics of the trailer Bubba! That design is what I'm contemplating on building. I have a couple of easy questions for ya. How thick are your axle spring hangers? Where did you get the trailer jacks? TY again chief!

The Jacks and coupler are all just Bulldog Brand that you can get from any trailer supply. I used to be a trailer shop and my particular wholesaler was Lucky B Trailer Supply, but everybody sells them.

I have made spring hangers out of square channel before but honestly, for the price it's easier just to buy them. These are just plain old store bought ones that I got with the spring kit. They are 7000 pound axles.

If you need any measurements or detailed pics, just let me know.

I just might get back with you on that when I'm ready to start the project. The thread might be old by that time, but if nothing else, I'll PM ya. Thanks again!
