Default heavy towing

What's the best turbo upgrade for a 2003 cummins with an auto trans? I haul my backhoe and trailer from time to time 23000#. No interstate driving but the truck has 4:10s and rpm wise it likes 1900-2200 in drive but it starts getting up there in egt around 2200 rpm. It pulls great 17-1900 but that's only 50mph. I dont need some crazy pulling charger just a small upgrade. Also would there be any gain from a 04 or 05 factory charger.

to DB!

To get the best of both worlds I would recommend a set of towing compounds. I understand they are pricey but this is the best option IMO. You can also make a compound set up with your stock charger and a larger charger, maybe something like an s475.

I would look at a Phat Shaft 62 or Super Phat Shaft 64.
