697.03 way to damn slow, you couldn't even see the truck move at that speed.
I went back and looked at this on this calculator I use on grimjeeper
7.05 with a 5.44/TC and a 2.73 underdrive with 6.72 axles and the 42" tire needed to clear the chunks off of the ground is only about half the speed I'm at now or about 35 ft/min
I'm currently at 64 ft/min

Sweet setup. You using the planetaries out of the 231HD? or standard 231?

wow. one heck of a trailer. I feel like i'm neglecting my cummins now for barely working it. My trailer for the 4-wheeler would unhook itself and jump in the ditch when you go by. how does the truck do pulling that? Pretty easy?

Just playing with a 231J...it was free

Dalton,
It really doesn't know it's there when I'm around the SE. Now at 7K+ altitude in Flagstaff I couldn't start out in second. Running across I-40 in 6th all the way to the first big hill going west out of Needles. I had to down shift to 5th because of the CA speed limit. I just couldn't pull it at 55 in 6th. (and I'm stock with 138K on the clock)

Scoggins,
I have to hold off. My work load is literally drying up.
