Sorry, but I am trying to prove a point to a friend and it is for trucks that are over 300k.

307,000 and still running great. My work truck I tow with alot. I put the twins and 200 horse injectors with the adrenaline on it at around 280,000 miles. It will use and leak around a quart of oil about every 3000 miles. I saw a one owner 97 at a friends used car lot with 952,000 miles on it. Ran great.

326,000....... Km's though, so really only 202,000miles. Still, pan or head removal.

So far you guys are proving my point that Cummins lastest longer with out having to pull the heads or pan. BUT I want to hear more from everyone.

My buddy just bought a 97 12v engine with 440,000 on it. Never was opened up even seen NOS with a stock turbo and over 1600 degrees and never had an issue. And my buddies dad has a 1997 powerstroke he bought brand new and I have spent alot time in this truck and it has over 300K on it and the only thing they had to do to it is replace a turbo.

My grandpa had a 95 F250 5.0 gasser with 330k when totaled. It started puffing blue smoke shortly after 300k. It was used very hard its whole life hauling every day 3,000lbs plus (80 pallets 7ft high) on the flatbed- no trailers though. with NO maintence barely even oil changes but every 5-10k miles. no greasing no trans fluid change nothing just gas and a can of head gasket repair at like 280k cause it was puffing a little white and using coolant dont know if it was hg for sure. i never thought that stuff would work but it did stop the symptoms. oh we had to put a starter in it towards the end of its life too.
