Watch your EGT's, they will tell ya when it's right. Personally I turn mine off anytime I'm hookin up a heavier trailer.

The mighty Cummins will pull anything you hook up to with no mods, the mods just make it more fun. The only box I've found that actually helps towing is the SMARTY and it's a huge improvement for low end torque.

What have you set it on when pulling? Did it get very hot? I know it'll do fine just stock, but I gotta have a little fun along the way

I turned it down to 4 and it pulled great! I had a 16' bumper trailer with 14 5 weights crammed on... EGT's stayed cooler then i would have figured...
