Yea, I was kinda worried about that myself! I built that little trailer for my 72 year old father-in-law to drag around behind his Dakota. He's a retired truck driver and hauling junk around on that little trailer gives him a sense of purpose I guess. I think I should have just welded it permanently to the back of his truck as I don't think he's taken it off twice in the 8 months he's had it!

sorry for the late reply, I was on the road all day...
First I plan to install a B&W goose neck hitch, Auxilary fuel tank tool box Combo, air bags, exhaust brake, and a few other things and use it to haul my Christmas trees and stuff with.I had the choice between buying a dually and upgrading the other truck TO a dually and when I found this at the right price I decided to go ahead and get it...

Total weight, full of fuel, is 37k. Truck handles it very well! Trailer has electric over hydraulic disc brakes, so I can stop this load very safely.

MPG is 6.2-7.3 running 68-71MPH.

Check Here is the "NEW" truck under a Load of Pumpkins...

This Load went to Charlottesville, Va. and Delivered yesterday morning. Total Gross Weight was 31,678, and @ 70-75MPH it averaged a hand calculated 11.9209MPG!!!!!! Tyhis truck is completely stock TOO!!!!

Installing the hitch was not as bad as I thought it would be either!!!

and YES, the "Looks" of the load can be deceiving, pumpkins are heavier than they look when loaded into those bins...
