All the more reason to get a GN. It will be night and day compared to a BP. Besides why bother letting people borrow it. Not everyone is as courteous as you when it comes to others stuff. Go with a GN for sure.

Get a double jack if it's available. I have a Big Tex 20+5 14,000, ordered it and cheaped out on the jack. I kick myself every time I want to unhook with a truck on the trailer.

I'm not saying it will be free for everyone but Ido have a few buddies that dont even need to ask to come use it.

Kauffman trailers are good units, I have a tri-axle 10 ton pintle trailer from them and I have hauled a 1150 Case Dozer on it before without a problem

I've pulled them all, a 5th wheel is safest.
A bumper pull will "wag the dog" especially if loaded incorrectly, plus it drops the rear of the truck, upsetting the headlights.
A GN can flip, because there's nothing stopping it, it will pivot on the ball.
Either a GN or 5th wheel is better than a BP. The load is distributed much better.
**** on the "borrowers", they'll F it up and you'll be the one on the hook for repairs. Offer to haul their load for them.

A Goose neck is perfect if people want to borrow it you just tell them sure, go for it. Most people that have a ball in their bed, generally have a trailer to go with it and don't need to borrow one.

I f'ed up a buddies trailer pretty good that I borrowed a few weeks ago, I fixed it... If someone does the same... They will to...

I rewired a whole triler for a buddie a few years ago because I borrowed it and teh lights were acting up.

I dont let just anyone borrow my stuff.
