to tell the truth i never sat in the yard and tested. i have had conex, texas star, cobra and about 20 others and all do real well. the 102 whip makes alot of dif i think. on the road everyone thinks its a high dollar radio. its not like a old tube amp i had but i dont use it much anymore. the cb is not what it used to be, shoot trucking isnt ether. too many gold teeth talking on it. i cant even understand them. sometimes i get to take a load out of town and it can make the night shorter when you get a fast mover and a long run with someone you can talk to. but most of the time its just a bunch of greasy heads

LINEAR amp. Make sure it's a good shop that knows what they're doin though. They have to match the CB to the amp or you'll burn some **** up LOL.

I'm running a cobra 29 ltd chrome . peaked & tweaked with co-phase 4' k40 with swr of 1.23 i think that what really counts is the swr tunning.
